Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking a Maintenance Technician I at our Distribution Center in Cowpens, SC. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair conveyors and electrical/electronic systems to keep equipment running at peak efficiency.

You’ll use diagnostics tools, read schematics, and work with PLCs and motor drives. The role requires willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays in a safety‑driven environment.

Qualifications

• Coursework or certification in electronic technology and 2 years industrial maintenance experience specializing in electronic technology OR 3 years industrial maintenance experience in electronic technology (including troubleshooting and repairing automated equipment)
• PLC/PC programming knowledge and troubleshooting experience
• Hands-on industrial electrical experience, including 480V 3-phase, 110 VAC, and 24 VDC systems
• Advanced troubleshooting skills with PCs and industrial control devices/networking
• Ability to communicate technical issues clearly to business leadership
• Willingness to work shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and emergency repairs on equipment, including lift trucks, pneumatic systems, hydraulic equipment, dock equipment, and electrical/electronic systems
• Troubleshoot and repair complex electrical/electronic problems with equipment, networks, logic controls, PLCs, motor drives (Servo and VFD), and external I/O devices
• Diagnose electrical problems using technical drawings (blueprints, schematics) and diagnostic tools (multi-meter, laptop)
• Assist other maintenance technicians in the repair and maintenance of equipment
• Initiate and implement new procedures or designs to maintain equipment efficiency
• Maintain organized work area and promote a safe working environment within the Maintenance department
