Job summary

Child Crisis Arizona in Phoenix is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our Facilities Department. The role involves hands-on repairs in plumbing, painting, HVAC, and more to keep our sites safe and functional.

The ideal candidate has a High School diploma and at least two years in maintenance, strong communication, and the ability to work independently or with a team. Valid AZ driver's license and clearances required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years of facility maintenance or repair experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and on a team.
• Initiative, flexibility, and the ability to work efficiently and effectively.
• Ability to properly use basic hand and power tools.
• Comfort with climbing tall ladders.
• A clean five-year motor vehicle history and a valid Arizona Driver’s license.
• A Level One fingerprint clearance card or ability to obtain one prior to starting.

Responsibilities

• Complete repairs and maintenance projects in plumbing, appliances, painting, vehicles, HVAC filters, etc.
• Coordinate with outside facility vendors for more complex repairs and larger projects.
• Inspect buildings, grounds, and vehicles to ensure safety and performance.
• Prepare properties for licensing inspections by state and/or federal authorities.
• Assemble, set up, and move furniture.
• Test fire alarms, smoke detectors, and emergency exit lighting.
• Drive a company vehicle to deliver items and support programs and events.
• Work independently and as part of a team on special projects.
