Job summary

Wayfair in Lathrop, CA seeks a Mechanic I to maintain material handling equipment in our warehouse. You will troubleshoot, repair, and service conveyors, sorters, dock doors, and related systems to minimize downtime and support safe, efficient operations.

The role requires basic carpentry, mechanical, electrical and janitorial skills, with PMs, LOTO procedures, and CMMS documentation. Experience with hand and power tools and PLC systems is preferred, and overtime and shift flexibility are

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year experience in industrial maintenance or relevant certification.
Proficient with hand & power tools and electrical testing equipment.
Experience with basic carpentry, painting, drywall, cleaning, and basic maintenance.
High School Diploma or Equivalent is a plus.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, repair, and diagnose issues on conveyor systems, sorters, dock doors, and related equipment; perform emergency repairs as needed.
Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) on all assigned assets per manufacturer standards and schedules; maintain PIVs.
Conduct general building maintenance including carpentry, plumbing, and cleaning; manage facilities projects as directed by the Supervisor.
Operate aerial platform lifts, boom lifts, and powered industrial trucks.
Comply with OSHA, Lockout/Tagout, and record-keeping requirements; complete work orders and CMMS records accurately.
