WinnCompanies is seeking a Maintenance Technician I for Charlestown North, a 178-unit Market-Rate community in Greenbelt, MD. You will perform maintenance across units, common areas, and grounds, with an hourly pay range of $21.25 to $23.00 depending on experience.

Responsibilities include repairs in appliances, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC; preparing vacants for market readiness; and on-call availability as needed. A customer-service mindset and basic English are essential.

Qualifications

• Less than 1 year of relevant work experience.
• Ability to participate in an on-call rotation for urgent after-hours needs.
• Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to speak and understand basic English.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs in areas such as appliances, carpentry, hardware accessories, masonry, painting, basic electrical, basic plumbing, and basic HVAC.
• Complete assigned service requests and repairs per company procedures.
• Assist in preparing vacant apartments for market-ready status.
• Maintain grounds and curb appeal through snow removal, landscaping, and trash management.
• Be available for on-call activity during off-hours and emergencies as scheduled.

About The Opportunity

WinnCompanies is seeking an Maintenance Technician I to join our team at Charlestown North, a 178-unit Market-Rate residential community located in Greenbelt, MD.

In this role, you will perform maintenance functions in the community, including rental units, residential common areas, office, grounds and parking lots.

The pay for this opportunity is $21.25-$23.00 per hour depending on experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs in such areas as, but not limited to, appliances, carpentry, hardware accessories, masonry, painting, basic electrical, basic plumbing, and basic HVAC.
• Complete assigned service requests and repairs consistent with company operating procedures.
• Assist in preparing vacant apartments for market ready status in accordance with company standards.
• Maintain grounds and curb appeal through snow removal, landscaping, and trash management activities.
• Be available for on-call activity during off-hours and emergencies based on a pre-determined schedule and need.

Requirements

• Less than 1 year of relevant work experience with basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, appliances and HVAC.
• Ability to participate in an on-call rotation for urgent after-hours needs.
• Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse individuals.
• Ability to speak and understand basic English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Vocational or technical training.
• Certificate for Apartment Maintenance Technicians (CAMT).
