Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a Maintenance Technician II for 2nd shift (4:30 pm - 1:00 am, hours may vary). Training occurs Day Shift. Responsible for installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and structural systems to ensure production quality.
You will monitor machinery, perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and follow safety protocols. Overtime and variable shift lengths may apply.
Base pay rate is $26.00 - $29.00 plus $1.00 shift differential
2nd Shift Hours: 4:30 pm - 1:00 am, hours may vary depending on operations.
(Training will occur during Day Shift 6:00 am - 2:30 pm)
The Maintenance TechnicianIIperforms skilled workrelatedtothe installation, operation, maintenance, modification,serviceand repair of mechanical, electrical,heating, ventilation, air conditioning,plumbing, and structural systems. Theymonitormachineperformance,perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot problems, and make necessary adjustments.
Understandsand followsall safety rules and precautions necessary for working with hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical apparatus.
Dealswith complex factorsandmakesdecisionsbased on conclusions and findings.
Installs and repairsvariouselectrical equipment,includinggenerators, transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heatingunitsandconduit systems.Workswith blueprints, drawings, layouts, verbalinstructionsand other specifications.
Usesdifferentwelding equipment(arc, acetylene, brazing, flame cutting)For layoutand fitting,includingmaking jigs and fixtures.
Utilizeselectricians'hand tools and measuring/testingequipment.
Diagnoses and corrects trouble in electrical systemsor equipment,applyingstandard computationsrelatedto load requirements of wiring or electrical equipment.
Performs visual and mechanical inspectionstomaintainmachineryto,ensurethe productionoffinishedquality products accordingto order specifications.
Follows preventive maintenance program asestablishedby the company andconductsregularequipmentinspection stakingpreventive action when necessary.
Performsminor and major repairson buildings.
Notifies management concerningneedfor major repairs or additions to lighting,heatingand ventilating equipment.
Provideson-the-job direction to new maintenance mechanics and others assisting in maintenance work.
Contributes tocontinuous improvement efforts inworkarea.
May be assignedadditionalprojects or duties asdesignatedby Team Leader.

High School Diplomaor recognizedequivalent.
Minimum of (1-3) one to three years related work experience in a maintenance mechanic function, or equivalent related experience.

This is a position with the potential overtime. The shifts are 8 hours, 10 hours, and 12 hours long depending on work orders for the day and season of the year.
