Job summary

Graham Packaging Company in Hammond, LA is seeking a Maintenance Technician I for 1st Shift (7:00 am to 3:00 pm, Monday–Friday) with potential overtime and weekend work. You will install, repair, and maintain production equipment and plant facilities, focusing on safety, quality, and reliability.

Requirements include an associate degree in Industrial Maintenance or related field and several years of maintenance experience; strong problem-solving, communication, and team collaboration are

Qualifications

• Two year Associate Degree in Industrial Maintenance or related field preferred.
• Minimum five years Industrial Maintenance Technician experience preferred.
• Strong communication, teamwork and customer service skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair and maintain production machines and plant facilities.
• Perform preventive and reactive maintenance on equipment.
• Diagnose problems, replace parts and test repairs.
• Train production staff on proper operation and maintenance.
• Read work orders and manuals to perform required tasks.
