Job summary

Graham Packaging Company is seeking a Maintenance Technician based in West Chicago, IL. The role is on day shift, 6:00 am–6:00 pm, four days one week and three days the next. You will install, repair and maintain production equipment and building systems while ensuring safety, quality, and plant performance.

Qualifications

• Two year Associate Degree in Industrial Maintenance or related field preferred.
• Minimum of five years Industrial Maintenance Technician experience preferred.
• Ability to interact with managers, employees, vendors, and customers.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair production equipment and building facilities.
• Perform preventive maintenance and diagnostics on machinery.
• Read and interpret manuals and work orders for maintenance tasks.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Provide emergency repairs and scheduled maintenance within production timelines.
• Train production staff on proper operation and maintenance of machinery.
