Job summary

Graham Packaging in Houston, TX is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Electrician for 1st Shift (6:00 AM–2:30 PM). You will troubleshoot, maintain and repair production equipment using electrical, mechanical and processing skills to keep lines running and safe.

The role requires reading blueprints, installing and testing electrical components, performing preventive maintenance, and assisting operators. A 2-year associate degree and 5 years of industrial electrical experience are preferred; strong

Qualifications

• Two year Associate Degree in electrical related field is a plus.
• A minimum of five years industrial maintenance electrician experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots, maintains and repairs production equipment and building.
• Reads and interprets drawings, blueprints, schematics and electrical code specifications.
• Installs, examines, replaces or repairs electrical wiring and components.
• Maintains, tests and calibrates electrical motors, switches and control systems.
• Conducts preventive maintenance programs and keeps accurate maintenance records.
• Assists and trains production employees in proper operation and maintenance of machinery.
