Job summary

Maker's Pride in Illinois is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform diversified duties across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems. You will troubleshoot, repair and maintain machines and plant facilities, following GMP standards and safety policies.

Strong documentation of PMs and coordination with the maintenance team are essential. The role requires a 2-year trades degree or equivalent experience, and the ability to read manuals and work orders, with pay starting

Qualifications

• Has completed or is working on a 2-year trades degree and/or 4 years of plant maintenance experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Able to read, write and speak English; bilingual a plus.
• Able to communicate with supervisors and plant manager.
• Attention to detail; legible record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and adjust equipment.
• Detect faulty operations and report issues to maintenance manager.
• Utilize Microsoft Office to order and schedule parts and jobs.
• Perform work safely in line with GMPs and company policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

The Maintenance Tech performs highly diversified duties including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting, and repair of machines, equipment and plant facilities. This includes scheduled, unscheduled or emergency repairs. Perform regular preventive maintenance which also includes maintaining supporting documentation for the PM's.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct maintenance according to skill level and pursuant to safety policies and procedures.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make-adjustments.
• Detect faulty operations, defective material, and report those unusual situations to the facility maintenance manager.
• Utilizing Microsoft Office, order and schedule parts as well as jobs.
• Perform work in a safe manner and use Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Has completed or is working on a 2-year trades degree and/or 4 years of plant maintenance experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Able to read, write and speak English. Bilingual capabilities are a plus.
• Able to communicate and take direction from Sanitation Manager and communicate effectively with line workers, Leads, Supervisors and Plant Manager.
• Attention to detail.
• Legible record-keeping and data entry skills.
• Must be highly motivated, flexible and have creative problem-solving abilities.
• Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Welding and fabrication, full understanding of 3 Phase electrical, tree phase motor controls. Troubleshoot AC & DC drives.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

• Manufacturing environment - exposure to a variety of machines, noise levels, and varying temperatures.
• Depending on which location, our environments can be very warm or refrigerated.
• Team environment - must be able to work well with others and communicate in a respectful and professional manner.
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
• May be required to work weekend and night hours to fill in as needed.

Starting Pay

Maintenance Technician $34.45/hr. a shift differential is offered for 3rd shift opportunities.

We offer a comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees including health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the 90th day of employment. This information is provided per the relevant state and local pay transparency laws for the location in which this position will be performed. Base pay information is based on market location.
