Job summary

PacAero in Wenatchee, WA is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform ongoing facility maintenance and repairs on equipment, plumbing, heating, and wiring, ensuring safety and reliability.

You will work Mon-Fri, 5:00am to 1:30pm, collaborate with all teams, follow safety rules, and support continuous improvement. This hands-on role offers opportunities to advance toward a Machinist II level and contribute to projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

PacAero is primarily located in Wenatchee, WA with a remote manufacturing site, Bonded Metals, located in Sequim, WA. Working together, we employ proprietary technologies, best practices engineering, and specialized manufacturing techniques to produce hermetic connectors and electronic packaging that perform in the world’s most extreme environments. PacAero’s products are hard at work in medical components, such as cardiac-function devices, on key aerospace & defense programs, in space and deep below the earth's surface.

The Position:
Job Summary

Maintenance Technician is in charge of performing ongoing facility maintenance and completing repairs on equipment. Their duties include fixing machinery, plumbing, heating and wiring, inspecting buildings to confirm safety standards and scheduling major repairs with the building’s inhabitants. Perform regular preventative maintenance tasks.

Schedule: Mon-Fri, 5:00am to 1:30pm

Primary Responsibilities
  • Work cooperatively with all employees.
  • Willingness to adapt work schedule to company needs.
  • Consistently at work and on time.
  • Following company handbook policy and companies cell phone policy.
  • Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
  • Observe safety regulations and follow protective equipment requirements. Report hazardous observations to your lead or supervisor.
  • Must be able to retain information and show continued progression towards a level II machinist role.
Maintenance Technician I Responsibilities
  • Performing routine maintenance around the building such as fixing structural damage, for example, window, door or wall repair
  • Repairing broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage and restore full use of water fixtures
  • Basic knowledge of hand tools
  • Applying preventative measures to the building to reduce the risk of future problems, such as using a sealant on a flat roof
  • Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries
  • Painting the building when old paint has become faded or chipped

Work Environment
  • Noise: Machine shop can often be a loud environment with constant noise from equipment requiring mandatory hearing protection.
  • Safety hazards: Maintenance techs are exposed to inherent risks from powerful, high-speed equipment, including moving parts and sharp tools. Safety protocols are critical to prevent injuries.
  • Contaminants: The work involves exposure to airborne particles like metal dust, coolant mist, and chemical fumes, necessary ventilation and protective measures to minimize health risks.
  • Protective gear: Personal protective equipment (PPE) is a requirement for safety. This includes safety glasses and hearing protection.
  • Shift work: Must be flexible to work any of the following shifts: M-Th 5am-3:30pm, M-Th 3:15pm-1:45am, Fri-Sun 5am-6pm, and Fri-Sun 5pm-6am.
Physical Requirements:
  • Standing: Maintenance techs spend long hours on their feet, operating and monitoring machines on the shop floor.
  • Lifting: The job often requires lifting and moving heavy parts or raw materials. Some roles may involve moving objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Manual dexterity: Fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination are necessary for manipulating tools, setting up machines, and performing precise measurements.
  • Repetitive motion: Many tasks, such as loading and unloading workpieces, deburring parts, inspecting parts, are repetitive and can potentially lead to musculoskeletal issues over time.
  • Precision and vision: Machinists must have excellent close-up vision, depth perception, and the ability to distinguish colors to accurately read blueprints, inspect finished products, and use measuring instruments.
  • Stamina: Physical stamina is required for the duration of a shift to perform duties like loading materials, monitoring machinery, and conducting quality control checks.
