Job summary

Drury Hotels in Overland Park, KS is seeking a Maintenance Tech I to keep our property safe, well-maintained, and guest-ready. You will perform a wide range of repairs across systems and lead routine safety and compliance programs.

You will train fellow Maintenance Tech I colleagues, handle records, and support management in staffing and service delivery to ensure exceptional guest experiences. This is a full-time on-site role with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Advanced maintenance knowledge across multiple hotel systems.
• Ability to train and mentor Maintenance Tech I teammates.
• Knowledge of water chemistry, testing, filtration, and mechanical operations.
• Experience developing and monitoring programs for safety, ergonomics, and injury prevention.
• Knowledge of building maintenance including electrical and plumbing basics.
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal English directions.
• Flexibility to respond to emergency repairs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe, smooth-running hotel property and grounds.
• Complete repairs on plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, kitchen equipment, carpentry, painting and HVAC.
• Develop and monitor safety and compliance programs.
• Keep detailed records and reports.
• Provide ongoing training to Maintenance Tech I team members.
• Collaborate with management to recruit, interview, and schedule department needs.
• Deliver courteous, friendly guest service with a +1 Service attitude.

What you will do:

Maintain safe and smooth-running physical hotel property and grounds.

Ensure exceptional, positive experiences for our diverse team members and guests.

• Complete repairs on a variety of systems such as plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, kitchen equipment, light carpentry, painting, and HVAC systems.

• Develop, implement, and monitor programs to ensure a safe facility and work environment in compliance with all appropriate regulations: ergonomic, emergency response, and injury prevention.

• Keep detailed records and reports.

• Provide ongoing training to Maintenance Tech I team members.

• Knowledge of water chemistry, water testing, filtration, and mechanical operations

• Experience in developing, implementing, and monitoring programs to ensure work and safety compliance with ergonomic, emergency-response, and injury-prevention regulations

• Knowledge of building maintenance, including minor electrical repair, and plumbing

• Ability to speak, write, and receive direction (written and verbal direction) in English

• Flexibility to be available for emergency repairs
