Job summary

Drury Hotels is seeking a Maintenance Tech I to keep our Ohio property safe and well‑maintained. You will repair plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, and HVAC systems, perform preventive maintenance, and support grounds and facilities operations.

You will also train team members, keep records, and partner with management on staffing. A friendly, courteous guest experience with a +1 Service mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Advanced maintenance capabilities across plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, and HVAC systems.
• Ability to train and develop Maintenance Tech I team members.
• Knowledge of water chemistry, testing, filtration, and mechanical operations.
• Experience creating and monitoring safety/compliance programs (ergonomic, emergency, injury-prevention).
• Knowledge of building maintenance including minor electrical and plumbing work.
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal English directions.
• Flexibility to respond to emergency repairs.

Responsibilities

• Complete repairs on plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, kitchen equipment, carpentry, painting, and HVAC systems.
• Develop, implement, and monitor safety and regulatory compliance programs.
• Keep detailed records and reports.

What you will do:

Maintain safe and smooth-running physical hotel property and grounds.

Ensure exceptional, positive experiences for our diverse team members and guests.

• Complete repairs on a variety of systems such as plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, kitchen equipment, light carpentry, painting, and HVAC systems.

• Develop, implement, and monitor programs to ensure a safe facility and work environment in compliance with all appropriate regulations: ergonomic, emergency response, and injury prevention.

• Keep detailed records and reports.

• Provide ongoing training to Maintenance Tech I team members.

• Collaborate with management to recruit, interview, and schedule for department needs.

• Ensure an exceptional guest experience by providing courteous, friendly, guest service with a +1 Service attitude.

• Ability to speak, write, and receive direction (written and verbal direction) in English

• Flexibility to be available for emergency repairs

The pay range is $20.20 - $39.54

The starting wage may be above the minimum rate, based on relevant experience, skills, and education.
