Job summary

Mandel Group, Inc. is seeking a full-time Apartment Maintenance Technician I for Taxco, a new community located in Walker’s Point, Milwaukee.

You will maintain the property buildings and grounds, diagnose work orders, and perform repairs across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, and pool areas. On-call rotation includes weekends and some nights, with daily on-call stipends and holiday pay; the role comes with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be available for on-call rotation 1 week every 5–12 weeks (frequency depending on region and staffing).
• 40 hours per week.
• EPA Universal or CPO certifications preferred.
• 0–3 years maintenance/facilities/HVAC experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, appliance repairs and related tasks.
• Respond to resident maintenance work orders and notify management upon completion.
• Be available to work on-call hours in a rotation, including some weekends and night shifts.
• Maintain amenity areas in clean and operable condition; monitor safety equipment and records.
• Participate in preventative maintenance (pool, lighting, inspections) and unit turnover as needed.
• Grounds keeping duties include trash removal and general clean-up.

In this role with Mandel, you will be responsible for maintaining the efficiency and upkeep of the property buildings and grounds, diagnosing work order requests, and making repairs in areas such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, carpentry, dry walling, exterior structural, and appliance.Duties of a Maintenance Tech include:Perform general facilities services such as: plumbing, electrical, heating and air conditioning repairs, carpentry, appliance repairs, glass replacement, etc.Respond timely to resident maintenance work order requests and notify management upon completion of requests or of pending work order needs.Be available to work on-call hours in a rotation, which will include some weekends and night work.Keep amenity areas in clean and operable condition.
