Job summary

The role

In this role a Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing a wide variety of maintenance duties to support our manufacturing operations and facilities. This includes preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and record-keeping for injection molding machines and related equipment. Flexibility is essential, as this position may require on-call availability and will evolve to include supervisory responsibilities as the maintenance department grows.

Monday - Friday, 7 AM - 3PM, on call as needed, weekends as needed

As a Maintenance Technician I at IPL you will:

• Preventative Maintenance
  • Husky Injection Molding Machines
  • Light automation such as labeling, handling, gasket installation and pick and place robots
  • Offset Printers
  • Conveyors
  • General facilities
• Maintenance & Repair
  • Assemble, disassemble, and maintain molds and mold subsystems (wire switches, air and cooling circuits, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical components, etc.).
  • Diagnose problems and implement effective solutions.
  • Repair/replace components (switches, sensors, controllers, circuit boards, etc.).
  • Utilize computer diagnostic programming equipment as needed.
  • Repair/replace piping for cooling towers and chilled water lines.
• Troubleshooting & Problem Solving
  • Use troubleshooting skills to improve and develop repeatable molding processes.
  • Investigate equipment deficiencies and recommend modification/improvements to the Operations Manager.
  • Implement approved modifications and/or improvements.
