Job summary

ReWa in Greenville, SC is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain diverse mechanical and electrical systems. You will perform preventive maintenance, assist in pump station upkeep, and respond to emergency repairs to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma, GED, or specialized vocational training.
• Must possess a valid state driver’s license.
• Two years minimum experience in equipment maintenance and repair.
• Must complete pump operation and maintenance certification within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair equipment owned and operated by the Authority.
• Perform preventive maintenance checks and services (daily, monthly, yearly).
• Assist with maintenance of pump stations within the collection system as needed.
• Respond to emergency repair requests to minimize downtime.
• Maintain parts and supply inventory and related paperwork.
• On-site building, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and painting repairs as necessary.

## Maintenance Technician IApply: Greenville, SC: Full time: Posted Yesterday: End Date: September 30, 2026 (12 days left to apply): JR395*The tasks listed below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this position. Management may assign additional tasks related to the type of work of the position as necessary.** Inspects, troubleshoots, maintains, and repairs all types of mechanical, structural, and operational equipment owned and operated by the Authority.* Performs general maintenance, such as structural and mechanical metal fabrication, plumbing, welding, carpentry, painting, insulating and minor electrical repairs.* Performs daily, monthly, and annual preventive maintenance checks and services.* Assists in preparing and processing regular and preventive maintenance work orders, daily work sheets, purchase requisitions and related paperwork.* Responds to emergency repair requests in a timely manner, ensures minimal downtime of equipment and systems.* Assists in maintaining parts and supply inventory.* Receives and responds to inquiries, concerns, complaints, and requests for assistance in areas of responsibility.* Performs minor building, HVAC, plumbing, electrical and painting repairs as necessary.* Assists with the maintenance of pump station sites within the collection system as needed or required.* Assures that safety standards are used which comply with all company, local, city, state and federal guidelines.* Serves on call 24 hours a day as scheduled and responds to emergency situations as necessary.* Attends conferences, meetings, training, seminars, etc., as necessary to maintain and enhance job knowledge and skills.* Management may assign additional duties as trained for and qualified to do so related to the work of the position as necessary.**Essential Skills & Experience:*** Must possess a valid state driver’s license.* Requires high school diploma, GED, or specialized vocational training.* Requires a minimum of two (2) years of experience in equipment maintenance and repair work.* Must complete Gorman Rupp/KSB Pump Operation and Maintenance certification one (1) year from date of employment.* Must complete in-house Mission Communication operator training within 6 months from date of employment.* Must complete in-house Vega operator training within 6 months from date of employment.* Must obtain in-house Confined Space Entry training within six (6) months of employment, transfer, or promotion.* Must obtain a forklift certification within six (6) months of from date of employment.
