Job summary

Directs and coordinates support services. Training and development of its employees.**Principal Duties and Responsibilities*** Assists in interviews and hiring processes* Orientates and trains maintenance personnel* Coaches counsel employees, and initiates discipline as required* Evaluates the performance of subordinates* Develops and implements preventative and other maintenance programs to ensure proper equipment operation* Identifies, researches, and resolves problems* Coordinates maintenance activities with the operating department's requirements* Leads employees in continuous improvement and safety initiatives* Performs regular/preventative maintenance on all machinery, tools, and buildings* Develops, implements, and supervises the plant’s Preventive Maintenance program* Repairs machinery, equipment, buildings, and other Company assets in accordance with diagrams, operating manuals, and manufacturing specifications, or by management request* Orders supplies and parts as required, at competitive pricing and rates* Maintains records of repair/maintenance activities, per Company policy* Prepares other reports as required* Performs duties consistent with established safety rules and procedures* Performs other duties as required**Qualifications*** Post-high school education is required* Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in machine repair and maintenance area; 1 to 3 years of experience managing people* Working knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and control technology, and welding* Working knowledge of safe equipment practices and applicable laws, rules, and regulations* Demonstrate working knowledge of hazardous wage and hazardous material handling procedures and practices* Working knowledge of the use of precision tools, measuring instruments, and other hand tools* Working knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, and other business software* Preferred understanding of company policies, practices, and procedures* Must be at least 18 years of age
