Job summary

GSF Properties Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician I in Fresno, CA to maintain apartment communities by handling service requests, preparing vacant units, and keeping grounds clean and welcoming.

The role requires 6 months to 1 year of apartment maintenance experience, knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and basic repair work, and a valid driver’s license. Monday–Friday schedule with on-call duties. Medical, dental, vision, 401K, and more are provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months to 1 year of apartment maintenance experience
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, unit turns, and general maintenance repairs
• Experience completing work orders and preparing vacant units for new residents
• Ability to perform minor repairs such as patching walls, painting, and replacing hardware
• Basic computer skills and ability to navigate web-based applications
• Strong customer service skills with a resident-focused approach
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication skills and ability to follow directions and receive feedback
• Ability to work a regular schedule of Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
• Participation in an on-call rotation as needed
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current automobile insurance required

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and maintenance and repair work in areas including appliances, carpentry, hardware, and basic electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
• Complete assigned service requests and repairs in accordance with company operating procedures and standards
• Assist in preparing vacant apartments to ensure they are market-ready and meet company quality standards
• Maintain community grounds and curb appeal and trash management
• Be available for on call activity during off hours and emergencies as needed
• Maintain good public relations with residents and vendors
• Assist with annual apartment inspections and identifying action items
• Report violations of lease and house rules
• Timely completion of maintenance requests, work orders and ensure tenants' maintenance needs are met
• Work with manager to schedule vendors and order necessary supplies
• Maintaining excellent curb appeal
• Help maintaining excellent curb appeal

Compensation & Schedule

• Pay: $19.00-$20.00 per hour
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
