Job summary

Bluebird Hunter Lodge in Hunter, NY is seeking a maintenance technician to keep facilities operating efficiently. You'll inspect buildings, perform routine maintenance on equipment, and handle guest rooms work orders with a focus on safety and reliability.

The ideal candidate has three years of related experience or training, high school diploma or GED, fluent English, and strong problem-solving and teamwork skills. This is a full-time, on-site role with on-call expectations.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, and speak fluent English.
• Advanced understanding of maintenance equipment, techniques and procedures.
• Knowledge of heating and air conditioning units, plumbing and electrical systems.
• Availability to respond on nights and weekends to on-call requests.

Responsibilities

• Work on the interior and exterior of the property to ensure proper maintenance.
• Complete guest room work orders promptly and efficiently.
• Perform repairs on heating, cooling, and plumbing.
• Respond quickly and professionally to guest needs.
• Perform painting tasks, including patching drywall and touch-ups.
• Keep records of completed repairs and when equipment was last serviced.
• Routinely participate in preventative maintenance programs.
