Qualifications

• Able to perform safety inspections per SIC policy and ensure compliance.
• Mentor and train other maintenance personnel.
• On-going site assignment in Batesville, MS.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance/preventive maintenance and repair of HVAC systems in the facility.
• Maintain and repair freezers, chillers, and heaters.
• Perform PM on HVAC systems (filters, cleaning, lubrication).
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC equipment, chillers, and related systems.
• Teach, mentor, and train other maintenance personnel.
• Complete safety and general job training as required.
• Observe SIC safety processes and maintain a safe work area.
• Maintain a safe, clean, organized environment.

We perform installation, rigging, millwrighting, and maintenance for manufacturing and industrial markets across the Southeast.

Southern Industrial Constructors seeks a Maintenance Technician (HVAC) for an on-going site in Batesville, MS. This role is for an on-going assignment. Hired candidates will be considered for Benefits/Paid Time Off after 3-months.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform Maintenance / Preventive Maintenance and Repair of all Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning in the facility.
• Perform Maintenance / Preventive Maintenance and Repair of all freezers in the facility.
• Must be licensed by the State / Federal agencies to be able to work with restricted refrigerants.
• As required, perform safety inspections of work area, equipment and tools, in accordance with SIC policy to ensure compliance with government regulations, customer requirements, and SIC's safety program. Resolve all discrepancies found through inspections.
• Perform PM of HVAC Systems. (Filter Changes, Cleaning, Lubrication, etc)
• Assure environmental conditions maintained to established temperature and humidity limits in CCA's.
• Perform PM on facility chiller systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair of all HVAC, Freezers, Chillers, Heaters, etc. in the facility.
• Teach, mentor, and train other Maintenance Personnel on the operation, maintenance, and repair of facilities systems.
• Complete all Safety and general job training as required by SIC.
• Observes SIC/Client Safety processes and procedures at all times.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organized working environment.

Physical Demands

• Conditions include working in office, shop, busy traffic areas, freezers, and warehouses, with frequent exposure to dirt, dust, grease, oil, vibrations, and adverse weather conditions. Must be able to safely access all areas of property and buildings
• May be required to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to move in and around confided spaces and uneven areas
• Must be able to adequately hear and respond to voice commands and alerts from other employees, alarms and other job-related noises
• Must be able to safely access all areas of property and buildings
• Must be able to effectively use all required PPE equipment
• Strenuous physical demands are required to safely perform the essential functions associated with this position
• Must be able to safely operate all involved equipment and tools
• Must be capable of standing for long periods of time, bending consistently, working on ladders, and in awkward body positions
