Job summary

CGL Facility Management, LLC is seeking a Senior HVAC Technician (Licensed) to perform preventive and corrective HVAC maintenance across client facilities. You will install, repair, and maintain a range of equipment, read blueprints, and ensure safety and compliance with codes.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and corrective HVAC maintenance per CMMS work orders.
  • Install, repair, and maintain motors, pumps, belts, fans, AHUs, VAV boxes.
  • Maintain safe operation of environmental controls and boilers.
  • Diagnose problems using inspection and testing methods.
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures and local codes.
  • Mentor and train other HVAC and trades technicians.
  • Travel to other facilities to resolve issues.
  • Provide mentorship and oversight as requested.

CGL is a provider of justice facility planning, design, and program management and maintenance solutions to justice facilities and other public facilities throughout the U.S. and internationally. CGL Facility Management, LLC provides comprehensive contract facility maintenance services to commercial clients.

A Brief Overview

CGL Facility Management, LLC provides comprehensive contract facility maintenance services to commercial clients. The Senior HVAC Technician (LICENSED) will be responsible for both preventive and corrective HVAC maintenance work and minimal installations with our client.

What you will do
  • Performs preventive and corrective maintenance services to existing HVAC equipment corresponding to work orders generated from a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). Completes all documentation of work performed in compliance with the CMMS data collection process.
  • Installs, repairs, and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as motors, engines, pumps, belts, fans, air handling units, VAV and fan powered boxes.
  • Maintains the safe operation of systems including electronic/pneumatic environmental controls, oil/gas fired water tube boilers, and auxiliary equipment such as various types of pumps, de-aerating tanks, air compressor blowers, etc.
  • Examines environmental controls and stationary systems to diagnose problems using proper inspection / testing and monitoring techniques while exhibiting safe and proper use of tools.
  • Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures and according to the standards of CGL Facility Maintenance, OSHA, and our clients.
  • Inspects completed work for self and other technician’s conformance with requirements of local building and safety codes.
  • Escorts subcontractors during completion of their work at the site.
  • Performs preventive and corrective maintenance tasks, as directed by CGL Facility Management, LLC.
  • Serves as a mentor, trainer, and inspector to the work of other HVAC and General Trades technicians.
  • Travels to other facilities to help resolve specific maintenance issues.
  • Maintains a clean and safe workplace while and after performing maintenance tasks.
  • Complete all required compliance, safety and developmental training as assigned.
  • Provides training technicians in unlike skillset some basics of your trade provide mentorship, oversight and direction.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED Required or
  • 4-6 years Commercial HVAC and building maintenance experience Required and
  • Refrigeration experience Preferred and
  • Previous experience managing others Preferred
  • Have knowledge of the following trades/skills: electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
  • Must be able to read blueprints and as-built drawings.
  • Willing and able to work occasional on-call shifts.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug test and criminal background check.
  • Requires a self-motivated, team player who can multitask, and prioritize as well as demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly the ability to interact effectively with our clients.
  • Must be able to quickly become familiar with the design and layout of the facilities; to learn the locations of installed environmental control and monitoring systems/equipment; and understand operating procedures relating to environmental controls.
  • HVAC Certification Preferred
