Job summary

Diversicare Healthcare Services, LLC is seeking an experienced maintenance technician to perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and safety checks at our Alabama facilities. You will diagnose issues, order parts, and coordinate with supervisors to ensure uninterrupted resident comfort.

Ideal candidates have HVAC repair experience, basic electrical and plumbing skills, and a commitment to high-quality service for elderly residents.

Qualifications

• HVAC repair experience required.
• Electrical and plumbing repair skills preferred.
• Knowledge of water heaters, generators, refrigeration is a plus.
• Familiarity with building codes and safety regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventative maintenance and maintains maintenance records.
• Performs building and equipment repairs per work orders.
• Tests fire safety equipment under supervision.
• Inspects building systems and logs findings.
• Coordinates maintenance services with department managers.
• Performs basic carpentry, drywall, flooring and painting as required.
• Maintains building in good repair and compliant with laws.
• Orders equipment and supplies; maintains records of repairs/purchases.
• May drive company or personal vehicle for company business.
• Maintain resident confidentiality; treat residents with kindness, dignity and respect.
