Job summary

Diversicare in Alabama is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support our post-acute care facilities. You will perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and safety tests to keep building systems and equipment operating reliably for residents and staff.

Ideal candidates have HVAC repair experience, strong basic electrical/plumbing skills, and a commitment to safety and confidentiality in caring for elder residents. We offer full-time benefits and a supportive team.

Qualifications

• HVAC repair experience required.
• Intermediate electrical and plumbing repair skills encouraged.
• Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations preferred.
• Ability to read, write and follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and maintain maintenance records.
• Execute building and equipment repairs per work orders.
• Conduct fire safety equipment tests as directed.
• Inspect building systems and log findings.
• Coordinate services with managers to ensure uninterrupted performance.
• Do basic carpentry, drywall, flooring and painting as needed.
• Maintain compliance with laws and safety policies.
