DCH Health System seeks a Facilities Maintenance technician to maintain and improve buildings, equipment, and grounds at its Tuscaloosa, AL campus. The role covers electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, locksmith, welding and painting tasks and requires readiness for emergency or scheduled repairs.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, a relevant two-year technical degree (or equivalent experience) and be able to read, write, speak and comprehend English.

Formación

• High school graduation or equivalent required.
• Primary assignment areas include Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, Carpentry, Locksmith, Welding and/or Painting.
• Two year technical degree directly applicable to primary assignment with two years’ experience; or five years in the relevant area or with Engineering Services at a DCH Facility.
• Must have a valid Alabama driver’s license preferred but not required.
• Must read, write, speak and comprehend English.

Responsabilidades

• Maintains and improves buildings, equipment and grounds.
• Performs emergency repairs, scheduled repairs, preventative maintenance, and inspections.
• Provides reliable utilities and ensures regulatory compliance of facilities.
• Orders parts and materials; maintains required logs and records.

Educación

Five years’ experience relevant to primary assignment area or in Engineering Services at a DCH Facility
