Job summary

You will perform repairs, preventive maintenance, and safety tasks to keep the facility safe and comfortable for residents and staff. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, 2+ years of maintenance experience, and HVAC knowledge.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least two years of building maintenance experience preferred.
• HVAC schooling preferred.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems preferred.
• Maintenance certificate preferred.
• Driver’s license preferred to operate company vehicle.
• Ability to stay calm, flexible, and professional in stressful situations.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform repetitive movements.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfort using technology and resources efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Maintain physical plant standards to help ensure a safe, clean, and well-functioning environment.
• Perform building repairs, including drywall, painting, masonry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC troubleshooting, and other general maintenance needs.
• Respond to and complete work orders in a timely manner.
• Complete preventative maintenance tasks on schedule.
• Document completed work in asset management software.
• Support OSHA and Life Safety Code compliance standards.
• Assist other departments by moving and setting up equipment needed for resident and guest care.
• Coordinate with vendors as directed by the Environmental Services Director or Administrator.
• Assist with snow removal as needed.
• Perform Life Safety Code audits as needed.
• Be available for on-call support as needed and assigned.
