Silver Glen Senior Living in Illinois is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to support the Maintenance Manager in the community and physical plant, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and comfort for residents. You will handle resident requests, perform electrical, plumbing, HVAC, painting, and structural repairs, and manage exterior tasks like irrigation, landscaping, and roofing.

A high school diploma or equivalent is required, plus relevant certification or training; strong time management

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One-year certificate from college or technical school; or six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent education/experience.
• Ability to work with residents and families; strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Respond to resident and family requests for maintenance assistance.
• Follow directions to perform electrical, plumbing, HVAC, painting, and structural repairs.
• Work outdoors on exterior tasks including irrigation, vegetation care, pool maintenance (if applicable), hardscape surfaces, and roofing.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable living environment; coordinate with Maintenance Manager.
