Job summary

Scenic Living Communities is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role assists the Plant Operations Director in caring for the facility for residents, staff and the public, including painting, general repairs, plumbing, electrical and other building maintenance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in basic plumbing, HVAC, electrical and carpentry is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with ability to obtain a Class D Chauffeur’s license.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair and service all equipment and furnishings as required.
• Operate machinery and equipment in a safe manner.
• Conduct routine inspections of buildings, grounds and equipment to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns.
• Perform preventive maintenance according to established schedules.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders.
• Monitor and maintain heating, cooling, ventilation, lighting, and water systems.
• Safely handle, store, and dispose of maintenance supplies, chemicals, and tools in accordance with regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, inspections, and maintenance logs.
• Assist with transportation of residents as needed.
• Perform floorcare as needed.
• On-call as assigned.

This Maintenance Technician is responsible for assisting the Plant Operations Director with maintaining the care of the facility for residents, employees and the public. This includes painting, general repairs, plumbing and other general building maintenance. The Maintenance Technician must be knowledgeable in all areas of building maintenance and must be able to work independently.

Desired Qualifications
