Schulte Hospitality Group seeks an energetic Maintenance Technician for Hotel Cala in Tampa. The role supports opening operations (January 2027) and ensures guest rooms and public areas are well-maintained to uphold our service standards.

You will perform preventative maintenance, handle HVAC, electrical, plumbing tasks, and coordinate with teams to deliver reliable service. A strong emphasis on safety, communication, and timely task completion is expected.

Qualificações

• Minimum 2 years in hotel maintenance.
• HVAC, plumbing, electrical and carpentry knowledge.
• One year of college or trade school in mechanical/electrical/technical disciplines.

Responsabilidades

• Oversees property grounds, public areas and guest rooms.
• Conducts preventative maintenance to prevent breakdowns.
• Maintains HVAC, electrical components and plumbing.
• Checks fixtures, lighting and signs for proper operation; maintains spare parts inventory.
• Responds to maintenance orders promptly and completes work orders.
• Performs daily rounds and reports problems.
• Undertakes other duties as assigned.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversees the property grounds, public areas and hotel guest rooms
• Conducts preventative maintenance to prevent breakdowns in hotel accommodations
• Paints, replaces electrical accessories, maintains HVAC
• Check fixtures, lighting, and signs for proper operation; maintain an adequate supply of spare parts and light bulbs
• Responds to maintenance orders in a timely manner
• Fulfills work orders in a timely manner
• Completed daily rounds, identifying and reporting problems
• Perform various other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of three (2) years in a hotel maintenance position preferred
• Preferred but not necessary, one (1) year of college or trade school equivalent in a mechanical, electrical, and/or technical disciplines
• In-depth knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and general carpentry

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Basic math skills
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
• Ability to exceed expectations of guests and team members
• Excellent time management skills

• Prolonged periods standing and walking.
• Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery.
• Must be able to visually inspect machines.
