Job summary

Seaboard Foods in Holyoke, CO is seeking a Maintenance Team Member to assist in maintaining and repairing the physical structures of our facilities. You will troubleshoot, install and inspect systems including feed, water, ventilation, and related equipment to keep operations running smoothly.

The role requires reading and following work orders, using a range of tools, and performing welding where needed. You may be on call for emergencies and must meet basic training and licensing requirements;

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree or GED preferred; or 1–3 months training/experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and write simple correspondence.
• Ability to apply math concepts to practical situations.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and pass DOT physical to obtain medical card.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, repair, install, and inspect systems (feed, water, recycle, cooling cells, ventilation) to keep facilities running smoothly.
• Use hand and power tools, precision measuring instruments, and testing devices.
• Follow work orders and specifications to determine replacement, repair or maintenance needs.
• Welding of building equipment and fabrications for penning or gating.
• On-call for emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, repair, install, and inspect, for the following but not limited to automated feed systems, fresh water wystems, recycle systems, cool cells, ventilation, controllers, and penning for animal production facilities sites to ensure operations run efficiently and effectively.
• Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices.
• Follow work orders and specifications to determine machines and equipment require replacement, repair or maintenance.
• Welding of buildings equipment including load out chutes, and fabrications of some penning or gating.
• Must be on call available for emergency situations.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Two-year technical degree or greater, High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; or one to three months experience or training; or combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and work orders. Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to apply mathematical concepts to practical situations.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
• Must possess a current valid driver's license, acceptable MVR, and ability to pass DOT physical and obtain medical card

SCHEDULE

The hours and days of work are established by departmental needs and at the discretion of management. After-hours, weekends and overnight travel as requested.

COMPENSATION

We offer a competitive pay rate based on your skills and experience related to this position. Our starting compensation for this position in Holyoke, Co is $17/Hr
