Job Description Residential Maintenance Technician
A maintenance technician is responsible for conducting general maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and property structures. Ensuring that heating and plumbing systems perform optimally, installing HVAC systems, and other tasks related to preventative maintenance. The goal is to maintain the facilities and common areas in the best possible condition, including:
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Ability to read and write English fluently, perform intermediate mathematical functions, and understand all on-site management software functions. EPA technician certification required.
Minimum of three years’ experience as a residential property management maintenance technician. Ability to follow instructions in written, oral, or diagram form. Good communication skills to interact with tenants, staff, contractors, and supervisors.
The role requires working any day of the week, including overtime and being on-call. Travel may be required for owner gatherings or events held after hours.
Basic computer and Internet proficiency.
Ability to access all parts of the property, lift up to 50 lbs. independently and up to 100 lbs. with assistance.
