Job summary

Sioux City Compressed Steel is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to support operations at our state-of-the-art scrap recycling facility in Sioux City, IA. The Maintenance Worker will perform installing, maintaining and troubleshooting machines, conveyors and heavy equipment in a fast-paced environment.

Applicants should have knowledge of CNC machines, hydraulics, motor control and general electrical, plus the ability to perform preventive maintenance and emergency repairs while following safety

Qualifications

• Perform highly diversified duties to install, maintain, and troubleshoot machines, conveyors, and heavy equipment.
• Knowledge of CNC machines, hydraulics, motor control, general electrical.
• Perform preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
• Use hand and power tools, meters and material handling equipment.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot machines, conveyors and heavy equipment.
• Assist in refurbishing machinery and replacing conveyor belts.
• Perform preventive maintenance and emergency repairs as needed.
• Follow safety regulations and maintain clean, orderly work areas.
