Job summary
ASSA ABLOY is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and improve production machinery in a fast-paced facility in Iowa. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, fabricate components, and assist with equipment installations, with opportunities to work on CNC systems, lasers, robotics, and PLCs.
Qualified candidates have at least 3 years of industrial maintenance experience, read blueprints, and can work independently while supporting lean initiatives and
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Experience with CMMS and preventive maintenance.
- Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair production machinery.
- Disassemble, repair, and reassemble equipment components.
- Welding, brazing, soldering, drilling, and fabrication.
- Repair hydraulic systems: valves, cylinders, pumps.
- Maintain machine guards, safety devices, conveyors.
- Move and install machinery within the facility.
- Coordinate with vendors for parts and support.
- Collaborate with Engineering to improve equipment reliability.
- Execute preventive maintenance and support lean initiatives.
- Maintain safety, housekeeping, and environmental compliance.
