Job summary

Sedona Staffing Services is seeking a Maintenance Tech in NE Iowa to maintain and repair manufacturing equipment, ensuring safe and efficient plant operation. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs across mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.

The role requires reading blueprints and schematics, documenting work, and collaborating with production teams to minimize downtime and meet goals.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Knowledge of electrical systems (PLC experience is often preferred but may not be required).
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Physical ability to lift equipment, climb, and work around heavy machinery safely.

Responsibilities

• Performing preventive maintenance on forging presses, furnaces, compressors, forklifts, cranes, cooling systems, and other production equipment.
• Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment.
• Diagnosing equipment failures and replacing defective components.
• Reading blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to complete repairs.
• Inspecting machinery to identify wear and prevent unexpected breakdowns.
• Maintaining building systems and supporting facility repairs when needed.
• Following all safety, environmental, and quality procedures.
• Documenting maintenance work and communicating equipment issues to supervisors.
• Working with production teams to minimize downtime and meet manufacturing goals.

MAINTENANCE TECH

LOCATION: NE IOWA

WAGE: $25-$28/HOUR

SHIFT: 1ST

A Maintenance Mechanic / Maintenance Technician is responsible for keeping manufacturing equipment, machinery, and plant facilities operating safely and efficiently through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.
