Job summary

Black Rock is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support the operation and upkeep of equipment at our aggregate pit. The role focuses on diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy equipment including excavators, loaders, crushers, water trucks, and blade trucks.

You will proactively perform maintenance to ensure safe, efficient operations and lead special projects as needed. Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, performing preventive maintenance, inspecting

Qualifications

• 3+ years in heavy equipment maintenance, preferably aggregate/mining/construction.
• Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting abilities.
• Welding and fabrication experience preferred; CDL or equipment operator certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues in pit equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment (excavators, loaders, crushers, water trucks, blade trucks).
• Inspect and maintain engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and electrical components.
• Weld and fabricate components as needed for repairs.
• Collaborate with operations to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
