Job summary

Little River Materials in Millbrook, AL 36054 seeks a Plant Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair the rock screening plant and heavy equipment, ensuring safe, efficient production.

You will monitor temperatures, inspect belts and screens, perform welding, and collaborate with the team to minimize downtime and keep operations running smoothly. This role may report to other company sites as needed and may require overtime or weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience in plant maintenance and heavy equipment maintenance required.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment.
• Welding and fabrication skills required.
• Basic electrical troubleshooting experience preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on the rock screening plant and heavy equipment.
• Monitor temperatures and performance of bearings, motors, gearboxes, and pumps.
• Inspect and adjust belt tension on V-belts and conveyors.
• Maintain screen tension and replace screens as needed.
• Repair and replace rubber skirting and wear components.
• Inspect, adjust, and maintain pulleys, rollers, idlers, bearings, and shafts.
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and document findings.
• Ensure proper greasing of all equipment.
• Collaborate to plan and schedule preventative maintenance.
