Job summary

AZZ Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician at the Winsted facility for first shift, reporting to the Plant Manager. You will perform maintenance in plumbing, electrical, welding, construction, and machine servicing areas.

Responsibilities include repairs and preventive maintenance, diagnosing mechanical issues, and operating welding equipment. A high school diploma is required and experience with heavy equipment is preferred.

Qualifications

• 6 months to 1-year related experience required.
• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Knowledge of hot dip galvanizing, steel fabrication or other custom metal coating operations preferred.
• Experience with HV 480 electricity, cranes, hoists, and forklifts strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Repairs, replaces, and reassembles defective equipment parts using hand and power tools.
• Performs routine preventive maintenance on equipment and buildings.
• Diagnoses mechanical problems and determines how to correct them.
• Operates cutting torches or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
