Job summary

AZZ Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our Waskom, Texas facility to perform plumbing, electrical, welding, construction, and machine servicing under the Plant Manager.

You will troubleshoot, repair and maintain equipment, support production during slowdowns, and participate in safety and quality initiatives. A High School diploma and 6 months to 1 year of related experience are required; experience with HV 480V electricity, cranes, hoists, and forklifts is preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months to 1 year of related maintenance experience.
• Experience with hot dip galvanizing or metal coating operations is preferred.
• HV 480V electrical systems, cranes and forklifts experience is strongly preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Repair, replace, and reassemble defective equipment parts using hand and power tools.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and buildings.
• Diagnose mechanical problems and determine corrective actions.
• Operate cutting torches or welding equipment as needed.
• Support production during maintenance slowdowns.
