Phillips Management Group in Charleston seeks a Maintenance Technician to keep our properties safe, attractive, and well‑maintained for residents. You’ll gain hands‑on experience across trades and grow with a company that invests in its people.

Duties include preparing apartments for new residents, completing work orders, preventive maintenance, grounds upkeep, and on‑call rotation. A valid driver’s license, basic tools, and relevant certifications are helpful; we value reliability and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 months of related maintenance experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Own basic set of tools.
• HVAC, CFC, or CPO certifications preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare apartments for new residents (turns & move-outs)
• Complete work orders efficiently and professionally
• Keep exterior areas clean and well-presented (curb appeal)
• Conduct routine and preventive maintenance
• Daily trash pickup and grounds upkeep
• Maintain trash compactors and swimming pools (in season)
• Troubleshoot and repair: Plumbing
• Troubleshoot and repair: Basic electrical
• Troubleshoot and repair: Appliances
• Carpentry & drywall
• Roofing & flooring
• Check irrigation systems
• Maintain accurate records of work and materials used
• Participate in the on-call maintenance rotation
• Perform other related duties as assigned
