Job summary

AdviniaCare Orchard View is seeking a reliable Maintenance Assistant for Orchard View Manor in Riverside, RI. This full-time role covers grounds, facility, and equipment upkeep to support a safe, well-maintained environment.

You will plan and perform routine maintenance, identify hazards, supervise outside contractors, and be on-call for emergencies. A high school diploma and experience in long-term care maintenance are required, with the ability to read and follow written instructions.

Qualifications

• Long Term Care experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend English.
• Sufficient mechanical abilities for facility maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain grounds, facility, and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Recognize hazards to residents or staff and take corrective action.
• Organize and prioritize tasks to ensure timely completion.
• Replace, repair, or purchase items per policy and procedure.
• Plan and implement preventive maintenance and document it accurately.
• Maintain weather protection against hazards.
• Supervise outside contractors.
• Serve on-call for emergencies and off-hours.
• Perform errands and tasks as required.
• Maintain exterior upkeep in all weather conditions.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
