Job summary

Orchard View Manor in Riverside, RI is seeking a reliable Maintenance Assistant to help maintain the grounds, facility, and equipment in a safe and efficient manner. The role requires independence, prioritization of tasks, and the ability to work with a team to support the facility’s maintenance program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• General background in repair and maintenance.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Maintain grounds, facility, and equipment.
• Identify hazards and take action to keep residents and staff safe.
• Plan and prioritize tasks to ensure timely completion.
• Repair, replace, or purchase items as needed per policy.
• Develop preventive maintenance programs and document activities.
• Maintain exterior/building upkeep in all weather conditions.
• Supervise outside contractors as needed.
• Be on-call for emergencies and off-hours.
