Job summary

Milford Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center LLC is seeking a reliable Maintenance Assistant to help maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for our residents and staff. This role supports daily facility operations through general repairs, preventive maintenance, and grounds upkeep within a Skilled Nursing / Long-Term Care setting.

Responsibilities include general repairs, painting, plumbing, carpentry, lighting, electrical, and routine safety inspections.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience in Skilled Nursing or Long-Term Care a plus.
• Valid Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

• Perform general building maintenance and repairs.
• Painting, wall repair, and window repair.
• Basic plumbing (fixture repair/replacement).
• Basic carpentry (handrails, drawers, hardware).
• Light fixture and bulb replacement.
• Electrical outlet/switch plate repair.
• Heating and cooling system support.
• Call system and general equipment repair.
• Preventive maintenance on facility and medical equipment.
• Maintain maintenance logs and service records.
• Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner.
• Conduct routine safety inspections.
