XL Pro Staffing and Consulting in Plainfield, IN is hiring a Maintenance Technician I for our warehouse team. The role focuses on preventative maintenance, basic repairs, and equipment checks to keep operations safe and efficient.

You will work Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, with pay at $28.00 per hour. A High school diploma or GED is required, plus mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn and grow into advanced maintenance responsibilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Mechanical aptitude required.
• Prior warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, industrial, equipment, or hands-on mechanical experience preferred.
• Experience with tools, equipment repair, forklifts, or warehouse environments is a plus.
• Willingness to learn maintenance processes and expand equipment knowledge.
• Comfortable working around warehouse equipment and machinery.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
• Dependable with a strong willingness to learn.
• Candidates with warehouse, forklift, equipment, or general mechanical backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance and equipment checks on warehouse equipment and facility systems.
• Assist with routine maintenance, inspections, and general upkeep of warehouse equipment and facility systems.
• Identify equipment wear, damage, or maintenance concerns and communicate findings to leadership.
• Support general facility maintenance and basic mechanical repairs as needed.
• Help minimize downtime by assisting with routine maintenance and timely equipment support.
• Maintain maintenance logs, basic work orders, and equipment checklists.
• Assist with equipment setup, relocation, and general warehouse support tasks.
• Maintain organized tools, workspaces, and spare parts inventory.
• Work with supervisors or outside vendors on larger repairs when needed.
