Volunteer Properties in Chattanooga, TN is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our apartment communities, ensuring safe, well‑maintained homes and efficient daily operations. You will diagnose and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliances; perform routine maintenance, make‑ready turnovers, and keep grounds and common areas clean and safe.

Qualifications

• EPA Certification or HVAC experience is required.
• 2+ years of maintenance experience, preferably in multi-family/apartment settings.
• Working knowledge of building systems: electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and appliances.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various environmental conditions.
• Strong communication and time management skills.
• Must pass background and drug screening.
• Must provide proof of valid vehicle insurance.
• Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and complete work orders for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance repairs.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks including painting, drywall repair, and minor carpentry.
• Complete apartment turnovers and make-ready tasks.
