Job summary

Stow-Munroe Falls City School District is seeking a Maintenance Worker for athletic fields, building grounds, and general maintenance. The 5-hour daily, year-round role involves preventive maintenance, grounds care, and facility repairs across multiple buildings in Stow, OH.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license (CDL desirable), and the ability to lift up to 90 pounds. Seasonal hours include mowing from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM and plowing pre-dawn shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED; trade training is desirable.
• Experience with preventive maintenance and repair procedures across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, masonry.
• Ability to read blueprints or schematics and work with building systems (HVAC, fire suppression, etc.).
• Valid driver’s license; CDL desirable; able to lift up to 90 pounds; able to pass medical exam.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and preventive care on buildings, grounds, and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and masonry issues.
• Assist with safety, sanitation, and compliance with district policies.
• Move, arrange, and deliver equipment and supplies as directed.
• Monitor and report on building conditions and equipment performance.
