Job summary

Kirtland Local School District is seeking a Maintenance - 2 role to care for district landscaped areas and athletic fields. The position includes 40 hours per week during the school year, Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., with summer shifts as needed.

The role involves assisting custodians and maintenance staff and ensuring safe operation of grounds equipment. The candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid Ohio driver's license, and the ability to follow

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred or equivalent training.
• Valid Ohio Driver's License; Class B CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Comply with district policies and complete authorized work orders and projects.
• Perform seasonal grounds maintenance activities and prepare athletic fields.
• Maintain and inspect grounds keeping equipment; report damaged equipment.
• Assist custodians and maintenance staff as needed.
• Requisition and stock supplies for routine grounds keeping activities.
• Ensure safety and compliance with OSHA and environmental regulations.
• Keep facilities clean, organized, and secure at day end.
• Attend mandatory district meetings and participate in training when requested.
