Job summary

Gossner Foods is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support our Logan, Utah production facility. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plant equipment and facility systems, helping minimize downtime and improve performance in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety-focused, able to work independently, and capable of collaborating with a team on upgrades, installations, and preventative maintenance programs.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years in industrial maintenance or related field.
  • Manufacturing environment experience preferred.
  • Ability to read equipment manuals and diagrams.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on production equipment, machinery, and facility systems.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and complete necessary repairs.
  • Document repairs and maintenance activities as required.
  • Maintain tools, parts, and work areas in a clean, safe, and organized condition.

Job description

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to support the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of our production facility. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining plant equipment, machinery, and facility systems while helping minimize downtime and improve equipment performance. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety-focused, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on production equipment, machinery, and facility systems.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests, equipment breakdowns, and work orders.
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and operational issues and complete necessary repairs.
  • Perform routine equipment inspections to identify wear, damage, or potential failures before they result in downtime.
  • Complete preventative maintenance tasks according to established schedules and procedures.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical components, motors, sensors, switches, and other equipment systems.
  • Assist with general plumbing repairs and facility maintenance as needed.
  • Support equipment installations, upgrades, modifications, and improvement projects.
  • Document completed repairs, maintenance activities, and equipment concerns as required.
  • Communicate equipment conditions, repair status, and recommendations to supervisors and other team members.
  • Maintain tools, parts, and work areas in a clean, safe, and organized condition.
  • Follow all company safety procedures, policies, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Perform additional maintenance-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Must have at least 2 years of experience in industrial maintenance, manufacturing maintenance, mechanical repair, or a related field. Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Electrical troubleshooting and repair experience required.
  • Knowledge of preventative maintenance practices and equipment inspection procedures.
  • General plumbing knowledge and repair experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand equipment manuals, diagrams, schematics, and technical instructions.
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail, dependability, and sense of urgency.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple maintenance needs in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe and productive workplace.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work around production equipment for extended periods.
  • Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.

Grave Shift Schedule: 11:00 pm to 8:30 am (Mandatory Rotating weekends)
