Gossner Foods is hiring a Forklift Operator to join a growing dairy family with three western locations. You will operate a forklift, scan pallets, and manage inventory while adhering to safety standards and efficiency goals.

The role requires 18+ years old, legal work authorization in the U.S., and ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Swing shift (4 pm–12:30 am) on a six-day schedule with weekend incentives and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Candidates must pass a pre-employment background check and drug test.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate a forklift, navigating racking systems with precision.
• Drive 36 feet in and out of tight spaces with a 3' variance to keep forklift off rails.
• Rack 2,000 lb pallets 16 feet high without damaging the racking system.
• Use scanning systems to track pallets and ensure correct warehouse locations.
• Utilize inventory systems to locate products and codes and keep areas organized.
• Learn the equipment and loading procedures to maintain safe operations.
• Recognize and interpret all labels used to manage operations smoothly.
• Familiarize yourself with wooden pallets and their locations.
• Collaborate with supervisors and take on additional duties as needed.

What You'll Do

• Master the Machine: Safely and efficiently operate a forklift, navigating our racking system with precision and skill.
• Navigate with Precision: Drive 36 feet in and out of tight spaces with a 3' variance, ensuring the lift stays off the racks and rails.
• Reach New Heights: Rack 2,000 lb pallets 16 feet in the air without damaging the racking system, showcasing your exceptional control and accuracy.
• Be a Scanning Pro: Use state-of-the-art technology to scan pallets from production and ensure they are stored in the correct warehouse locations.
• Tech-Savvy: Utilize our computer and inventory systems to locate products and codes, making sure everything is in its rightful place.
• Equipment Expert: Learn the ins and outs of our equipment and become proficient in loading accordingly.
• Label Guru: Recognize and understand all the different paper labels we use to keep our operations running smoothly.
• Pallet Pro: Familiarize yourself with the various wooden pallets we use and their specific locations.
• Team Player: Take on any other duties assigned by your supervisor with a can-do attitude.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-2+ years experience in manufacturing environment or production.
• Forklift experience preferred.

Schedule

• Swing Shift, 6 days a week. 4 pm- 12:30 pm
• Weekend Incentive

Pay

• Training pay starts at $18.25/Hour with a potential to reach $20.25/Hour after meeting all skill levels.
