Job summary

River Edge Behavioral Health Center in Georgia is seeking a Maintenance Entry Worker to join the facilities team. The role involves completing work orders, performing routine upkeep, painting, drywall, and basic carpentry to keep the building safe and functional.

Essential duties include preventative maintenance, emergency coverage support, and maintaining an organized shop. High school diploma required; HVAC experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• One plus years' experience in facility maintenance or equivalent
• Dry walling including painting
• Carpentry ability to handle basic repairs around the building
• Basic knowledge of plumbing
• Basic knowledge of electrical, including outlets, switches, and light fixtures
• Interpersonal skills to interact with employees or residents of the building in a pleasant manner

Responsibilities

• Completes work orders assigned to them in a timely manner based on priority
• Performing routine maintenance around the building such as fixing structural damage, for example, window, door or wall repair
• Painting I staining both interior and exterior applications
• Preventative maintenance as assigned
• Maintain and keep a clean and organized maintenance shop and other work areas
• Assist in coverage of a 24/7 emergency cell phone with other team members
• Repairing broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage and restore full use of water fixtures
• Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries
• Ability to follow instructions from supervisors or senior maintenance workers
• Knowledge of general carpentry and repair
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
