Job summary

Wellstar Health System in Georgia is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to repair and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment across our facilities. The role includes pumps, motors, doors, plumbing, HVAC, and related systems, performing preventative maintenance and promptly addressing service requests.

You will read blueprints, use power tools, and ensure compliance with NFPA and Life Safety Codes in a healthcare environment, collaborating with a team to keep critical systems running

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years experience in general mechanical maintenance and repairs.
• All certifications required upon hire unless otherwise stated.
• Georgia Driver's License (format note in source).

Responsibilities

• Respond to telephoned service requests and detailed work orders daily.
• Identify required tools, parts, and materials for the job and obtain approval.
• Prepare purchase requisitions for spare parts and materials and ensure budget compliance.
• Complete repairs promptly and document work in CMMS.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and verify closure of documentation for code compliance.
