HireArt is assisting an autonomous ride-hailing company in Hayward, CA to hire a Maintenance Technician (General Assembly) to support equipment reliability and production uptime. The role involves maintaining and troubleshooting assembly equipment, responding to production issues, and helping develop preventative maintenance processes to ensure efficient and reliable operations.

A hands-on technician with strong electrical and mechanical skills is preferred in a fast-paced manufacturing

Qualifications

Expected compensation: 41.97 USD Per Hour

HireArt is helping an on-demand, autonomous ride-hailing company hire a Maintenance Technician (General Assembly) to support equipment reliability and production uptime.

In this role, you'll maintain and troubleshoot assembly equipment, respond to production issues, and help develop preventative maintenance processes to ensure efficient and reliable operations.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on technician with strong electrical and mechanical skills who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

As a Maintenance Technician (General Assembly), You'll

• Support the development of preventative maintenance procedures and standards under the guidance of the equipment and maintenance manager.
• Partner with equipment vendors to perform major maintenance and repairs.
• Perform and coordinate maintenance activities for all vehicle assembly equipment.
• Respond to downtime events, equipment alarms, and production support requests.
• Conduct root cause analysis on equipment and quality-related issues.
• Develop solutions to recurring or anticipated problems.
• Order tools, spare parts, and maintenance supplies for current and future equipment needs.
• Train production staff on equipment operation and best practices.
• Document equipment changes, updates, and modifications.
• Support operations across multiple local sites, including Hayward and Fremont.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree
• 2+ years of experience working with industrial automation, automotive shop equipment, or automotive/aerospace assembly equipment, or equivalent experience
• Strong electrical knowledge (12VDC to 480VAC) and mechanical aptitude
• Basic knowledge of robotics, PLCs, pneumatics, hydraulics, vehicle lifts, and DC tooling
• Strong computer skills
• Ability to read and interpret 2D and 3D drawings and schematics
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Interest in working within a small, flexible team of engineers and technicians
• Experience with CMMS software (SAP preferred)
