Job summary

Dismas Charities Inc is seeking aMaintenance Worker to oversee the upkeep of our physical plant. The role is full-time, 40 hours per week, and includes responsibilities across buildings, grounds, and safety compliance.

Responsibilities include painting, carpentry, inspections, and routine maintenance, with a focus on safety and quality. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and 2+ years of maintenance experience, plus CPR/First Aid and driving certification during orientation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 2+ years general maintenance experience preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Certifications: CPR/First Aid and Defensive Driving during orientation.
• Pass criminal background checks and have reliable transportation.
• Ability to read/interpret maintenance instructions and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and upkeep the physical plant as directed by the Director.
• Perform painting, carpentry, locks, fittings, and basic repairs as needed.
• Conduct landscaping and grounds maintenance on a regular basis.
• Record routine maintenance and report issues to supervision.
• Comply with OSHA and safety regulations during all tasks.
